Top tips for visiting Seacliff Beach
- After you reach the beach, Â turn left and work your way around the rocks as far as you can go. Be VERY careful as it’s rocky and slippery. Not recommended for children or anyone not comfortable with a bit of climbing over rocks.
- Wrap up warm! We want in January 2024 and it was very windy and freezing cold (but beautifully sunny!). Hat, scarf, gloves and suitable shoes (it can be very slippy if you climb over the rocks) are a must,
- Check the sunrise and  tide times if planning to take in the views of Tantallon Castle from Seacliff Beach. A quick google will bring up the correct times. We went early in the morning to allow enough time get around the cliff edge to the part of the beach where you see great views of the castle. Otherwise you won’t be able to reach the bit where you can see the castle.
- Â If you plan to take a lot of video footage a tripod can be quite useful! We use this reliable (and easy to carry around!) tripod from Amazon.
